P.B.I to P.R.O
Historically/Predominately Black Institutions have stood the test of time for well over a hundred years. From being self funded to fighting the oppression of a nation, these institutions have discovered how to not only survive, but thrive in the face of persecution. As a result, they have produced some of the most persistent, resilient and opportunistic professionals in the world. How is that so?
When someone is persistent, they continue to swim despite the waves or the current. When someone is persistent, they knock on doors for permission, then begin to knock down doors with intention. When someone is persistent, they see obstacles as opportunity to show their strength and fortitude.
When someone is resilient, they see “tired” as an indicator of putting in work. When someone is resilient, they use the doubt of others as fuel and motivation. When someone is resilient, they understand there is no losing, only learning....they understand failure and falling is a normal and expected part of the process.
When someone is opportunistic, they see each opportunity as one step toward their goal. When someone is opportunistic, no step toward their dream is too small. When someone is opportunistic, they will fly, run, walk, crawl or roll toward their destination, knowing the journey of moving forward is just as important as arriving.
